DECISION ON BIDDING FOR CGCT DELAYED 48 HOURS

At a meeting of the French cabinet that had been expected to end with announcement of the winner in the bidding for CGCT yesterday, premier Jacques Chirac asked for another 48 hours to sleep on the decision: the chances of the AT&T-Philips, Siemens and Ericsson bids winning the day are all still regarded as live.
