We’ve decided not to participate in the recession, Hewlett-Packard Co chairman John Young told the Reuters news wire: he admitted that the company is not immune to economic weakness and that he remains cautious about the overall financial outlook due to weakness in the US, Japan and Europe, but says his company has a better than average product cycle, which gave it better than 13% growth in the first quarter, and orders are still ahead.
