DEC WIN ORDER FROM US DEPARTMENT

Digital Equipment Corp reports a $27m order from the US Department of Veterans Affairs to upgrade its computer systems at 98 medical centres in the US to Alpha AXP technology: DEC has already started replacing existing VAX systems with 500 clustered DECpc AXP/150s, running the OpenVMS operating system.
