Pauline Nist has joined Tandem Computers Inc as senior vice- president and general manager of the Parallel Systems business unit. She spent 22 years with DEC, the last 12 spent on VAX and Alpha server development, most recently as vice-president of the Alpha servers business. She will report to Enrico Pesatori, president and chief operating officer, where she will oversee hardware and system software development, product management and product marketing of the NonStop Himalaya and Windows NT Server systems. She will also be joining Tandem’s senior management group.
