DEC has now announced its promised upgrade kits for VAX 8200 and 8250 users who want to move to the dual processor 8350. Going from an 8200 to an 8350 involves a processor swap-out and costs $43,000 in the US for the two CPUs and 4Mb memory, $59,000 with an RA81 disk drive as well. Going from an 8250 to an 8350 is $34,000 for the second processor and additional memory, and $50,000 with the RA81 disk as well.
