DEC LAUNCHES UK PRICES OF STORAGE DEVICES

UK prices of storage devices launched by DEC yesterday (CI No 1,100) were as follows: the 128Gb RV64 high capacity optical juke box, a bought-in product to which DEC has made extensive modifications, costs UKP141,900; the SA550 storage array using DEC’s RA70 drive costs from UKP34,500 to UKP96,850; the IBM TA90 high performance cartridge tape is UKP84,030; DEC also launched an RF71 400Mb 5.25 disk for the MicroVAX but put no price on it.
