And DEC France has teamed up with Cincom France for joint development and exploitation of their products to large accounts in two key areas – manufacturing, and mixed DEC-IBM environments. The Cincom Systems Control:Manufacturing automation product is to be implemented on the DEC VAX. It is based on the Ultra relational database and Mantis and Spectra applications development languages. And in mixed environments, DEC and Cincom will work together to increase DEC’s penetration of large accounts with the help of Cincom’s Supra and Ultra database managers, which were first written for IBM mainframes, and its applications generation products.
