Well if Digital Equipment Corp is being wooed by Compaq Computer Corp, they certainly didn’t know about it – top DEC executives sold large portions of their holdings in the company last month at a time when shares were trading near their highest price since the company revealed earnings difficulties last July, the Wall Street Journal reported. Chief financial officer Vincent Mullarkey sold 30,450 shares, about 90% of his declared holdings; Harold Copperman, a vice-president, sold 5,262 shares on top of his sale of 15,942 shares in September.
