DEC CONVERTER TO WOO CICS USERS

By CBR Staff Writer

Digital Equipment Corp is preparing for a new assault on the IBM heartland, this time with a conversion aid that will be able to translate CICS applications written to run under DOS/VSE and MVS into VAX/VMS code, reports Computer Systems News. The product has been developed in partnership with an unidentified third party and is currently in field test. DEC will likely launch the aid later this year as part of a transaction processing consultancy service.
