On Tuesday Digital Equipment Corp will be announcing its PolyCenter concept, which is a systems management architecture akin to IBM’s SystemView except that it is expected to embrace heterogeneous systems including IBM operating systems: the architecture is the product of a two year old venture with Computer Associates International Inc for the development of system management tools.
