DEC CELEBRATES VIDEO-ON-DEMAND ORDER DOWN UNDER

It will be a tiny market for years, but one bit of bright news from Digital Equipment Corp is that it has scored another success with its Alpha AXP-based video-on-demand server, this time in Australia. NEC Corp’s NEC Australia has ordered one for use in Telecom Australia’s first pilot, to start in Melbourne next year using the Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line over copper.
