DEC, British Telecom, and Northern Telecom will be launching a joint computer integrated telephony service this week at Telecom ’87 in Geneva: the service will be for applications such as credit verification and message centres, but one member’s reference to the service was intriguingly obscure – this is a functional integration not achieved by physical integration.
