DEC, ASHTON-TATE TIPPED TO LINK dBASE TO RDB

DEC and Ashton-Tate Corp are expected to announce a link between Ashton-Tate’s dBase family of MS-DOS database systems and DEC’s RDB relational database management system that runs on the VAX minis under VMS. Several analysts are looking for such an announcement today, but no-one was able to shed any further light on the two companies’ plans.
