DEC ANNOUNCES PLANS TO STANDARDISE X WINDOW ENVIRONMENT FOR VAXSTATIONS AND VAXMATES AS WELL AS ULTRIX UNIXALIKE

DEC announced at Uniforum yesterday that it planned to standardise on the X Window environment developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for all its desk-top computer systems – VAXstations and VAXmates – under VMS and MS-DOS, as well as for the Ultrix Unixalike.
