Digital Equipment Corp and the state-run China Aerospace Corp signed a preliminary agreement Tuesday on a reportedly $40m joint venture in which the two will produce and sell network computers in China. Digital will engineer and design the PCs, while China Aerospace will manufacture and distribute them. A final agreement is expected later this year, and products could ship early next year.
