LRCS, the long-range coverage solution, can transmit and receive RF signals completely digitally via optical fibers. This means that signals may be transmitted from existing base stations to dead signal zones.

ADC’s solution could be far cheaper for operators than installing new, costly base stations – especially as in densely populated urban areas it can be quite a challenge to find a location for base stations. Often residents dislike the mast’s appearance, and worry about radiation safety. Fiber optic cables are versatile as well as being discreet.

The solution can be adapted to provide coverage to problem motorways, dense urban areas or even on metro systems. LRCS should make networks more reliable for users and expand coverage to areas that had simply not been possible to access before.
