DE LA RUE SELLS ITS 31.5% HOLDING IN FORTRONIC PTY, AUSTRALIA

By CBR Staff Writer

Anyone wondering why De La Rue Group Plc should sell its Fife based Fortronic group after reading Friday’s Financial Times can rest easy – it hasn’t: the sale reported in the paper was actually of its 31.5% holding in Fortronic Pty, the Australian affiliate, which has gone to comestibles group Amatil Pty, which now has full control of the Australian business, and plans to add it to its newly-formed communications and systems division.
