Dazzle Multimedia Inc, a Fremont, California-based company previously known as LA Vision, has cut the price of its Dazzle video capture system down to $199, claiming that the software is the first MPEG standard personal video computing product available for under $200. MPEG standard video products were being sold for $5,000 only a year ago, the company says. Dazzle hopes to cash on in on exploding home camcorder volume sales by lowering its prices. The product can be used to edit full motion video and still images captured from a camcorder, VCR, television, laser disk or DVD player for creating multimedia presentations.
