Davox Corp of Billerica, Massachusetts has launched an aggressive marketing effort for its new software toolkit Davox/400 aimed at the IBM AS/400 Fortune 500 installed base: using these tools and Davox’s CAS 1500 predictive dialler, AS/400 users can conduct very large but tightly-focused outbound telephone campaigns via IBM’s CallPath architecture: once AS/400 data records are downloaded to the dialler, the CAS 1500 places calls over a variable number of phone lines automatically using existing private branch exchanges – answered calls are switched to an available agent, together with the corresponding data display from the AS/400 while failed calls are logged and can be scheduled for recall at a later time; the Davox/400 software interface ships now and costs $5,000 for each AS/400 system the price of a CAS 1500 base system is $49,000.
