DAVID Corporation, a provider of risk-management software and services, has entered into an alliance with Ingenix to bring essential EDI reporting platform tools together in one solution.

The company stated that through this alliance, the companies’ complementary offerings will help their shared clients prepare for and meet new Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) reporting requirements faster and with fewer disruptions to their business.

Reportedly, the SCHIP expansion passed by Congress in 2008 included a new federal mandate requiring liability, no-fault insurance or workers’ compensation insurers to submit an array of claims information electronically to CMS. The rule requires Responsible Reporting Entities (RRE’s) to meet test-file submission benchmarks no later than April 1, 2010, and to be fully registered, tested and submitting files to CMS no later than June 30, 2010.

Alex Aminian, president and CEO of DAVID, said: “By partnering with Ingenix we are able to help our clients achieve compliance with CMS reporting requirements, while improving efficiency and productivity. Bringing our solutions together will provide better compliance capabilities to our clients, as well as improve their competitiveness, enhance client satisfaction, and improve bottom lines. This is a positive step for us and a giant leap for our shared clients.”

Brandon Miller, vice president, Product Management at Ingenix, said: “By combining our offerings and our expertise with DAVID’s 25 years of experience in the alternative risk market, we will help our clients meet the evolving regulatory demands of the property and casualty payer and healthcare marketplace.”
