Blackpool-based Datavision Ltd, which developed and sells the Universe Basic compiler used for migrating Basic-Plus software from DEC PDP-11s to Unix, has re-structured its business following the departure of managing director Barry Bullen. Bullen is to buy the company’s third party computer maintenance and Data General systems house business, leaving new managing director Laurie Clarke in charge of the compiler business. According to Clarke the time had come to decide precisely where our future priorites must lie. It will be expanding its sales and development teams both in the UK and at its US offices in Hartford, Wisconsin.
