Datapoint Corp is now so strapped for cash that it has had to bring in a string of partners to bankroll marketing of its Minx videoconferencing systems worldwide. It has divested its patents to a new company, Minx Patents Inc, and all the other Minx assets into another new company, Minx Technology Inc. The partners are Vertical Financial Holdings, Shared Technologies Inc, a Wethersfield, Connecticut firm that will market and support Minx in the US, and Arel Communications & Software Ltd, Yavne, Israel which will manage research and development strategy, and provide maintenance and support outside the US.
