DATAPOINT DEFENDS LAWSUIT BROUGHT BY NORTHERN TELECOM

Datapoint Corp has successfully defended a patent infringement lawsuit brought by Northern Telecom Inc, the San Antonio company reports, without giving details of the complaint, for which Northern Telecom had sought damages of $65m: a US district court affirmed Datapoint’s position in finding US patent number 3,760,375 invalid and unenforceable and dismissed the Canadian firm’s claims with prejudice, ordering it to pay the costs.
