DATAMIRROR INCREASES STAKE IN JAVA DC SHOP

Toronto, Canada-based AS/400 replication house DataMirror Corp has taken its stake in embedded Java database company DataBahn to over 40% with a new round of investment which gives the San Mateo, California company a further $3.6m. Aspen Ventures II and AVI Capital were also part of the financing. DataBahn’s embedding DataMirror’s replication technology in its database. DataMirror, the majority of whose revenues are made in the AS/400 market is expecting Java to be an important component of its long-term strategy to have its replication technology supported on all popular platforms.
