The UK unit of European Sparc-compatible supplier Dataman Computer Solutions Ltd, which is based in Wetherby, Yorkshire, is offering the Solair Server 800 with dual 51MHz, 55MHz or 66MHz SuperSparcs, or with HyperSparc modules incorporating up to four Fujitsu-Ross Technology processors. The dual 51MHz processor system is rated at 2368 SPECrate_int92 and 2828 SPECrate_fp92; with 66MHz parts it’s 5419 SPECint_rate92 and 6470 SPECrate_fp92. It comes with 64Mb to 1Gb RAM, two Small Computer System Interface channels, two Mbus and six SBus slots, graphics board and monitor. It is available now with pricing starting at UKP14,000 for the slower 51MHz model and UKP15,000 for the 66MHz version.
