Datacom Technologies Inc of Everett, Washington reports that it has bought exclusive North American manufacturing and marketing rights to a line of Ethernet Hubs and Repeaters designed and currently marketed by L&N Technologies Ltd of Westlake Village, California. The products will also be sold under Datacom’s name worldwide. Datacom says that it will start shipping the new products from its Everett facility starting this September and notes that they extend its data communications equipment offerings into the local area networking market. Established in 1981, Datacom currently manufactures and markets electronic equipment in four areas: it does data communications test equipment, straight data communications equipment, resource sharing equipment and high speed T-1 telephone system test equipment. The L&N product line of Ethernet Multiport Repeaters and Hubs acquired by Datacom comprises two, five, 10 and 14 port devices for 10Base-2, 10Base-5, 10Base-T and Fibre Optic applications, and they fall into the $900 to $3,000 price range.
