DATA TECHNOLOGY COMPLETES MERGER WITH COMPAC MICROELECTRONICS

Data Technology Corp, Santa Clara, has completed its merger with Compac Microelectronics Inc of Fremont, California, which markets microcomputer products through computer resellers: Compac holders get 370,000 shares of Data Technology and Compac will continue to operate as a stand-alone entity while providing a marketing channel for its parent’s new printer and disk drive product lines as well as its controllers; Compac’s sales are running at $23m and it is breaking even.
