DATA I/O TO BUY IN ITS OWN SHARES

By CBR Staff Writer

Data I/O Corp, Redmond, Washington is continuing its determined programme of buying in its own shares: since it announced the plan on October 21 last year, the company has bought in 3.7m shares, reducing the number out to 7m from 10.7m, and its board has now authorised repurchase of 500,000 more, in blocks and in the open market, with Salomon Brothers acting as the agent; the company says that the programme may be ended at any time.
