DATA GENERAL HAS $6M BUSINESS FROM NEW VALUE-ADDED RESELLERS

By CBR Staff Writer

Data General has pocketed $6m in business from two new value-added resellers, Globe Information Systems of Tampa, Florida, and Network Computing/HMS Group, of Charlotte, North Carolina: Globe does turnkey ticketing systems for colleges, stadia and arenas operations and has been a Datapoint reseller for five years, picking Data General after a play-off with Prime, DEC, Hewlett-Packard, Tandem, AT&T and others – and will use the DG/DBUS product that enables Datapoint applications to run under AOS/VS; Network Computing supplies local government and systems for electric, water, and gas utilities.
