Data Architects Inc of Waltham, Massachusetts, whose shareholders are currently considering takeover terms from systems house Logica Plc, has announced that its subsidiary Banking Decision Systems has signed a deal granting Zurich-based financial consultant, software developer and distributor WinterPartners AG exclusive distribution rights to the ProfitMaster decision support system from the suit in five European countries: Logica was not prepared to say whether it was happy to see Winters Partners get a free hand in Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Belgium and Lichtenstein, or whether it would seek to renegotiate the deal if it gets control.
