Zoho has taken its online reporting business intelligence application Reports out of beta and the new production release is designed to enhance users’ ability to visually analyse business information

The company said that Zoho Reports includes new features aimed at improving data presentation and visualisation. It allows users to collate similar reports and view them all on a single page; and embed its gadget version in iGoogle home page, giving access to reports and dashboards from iGoogle page.

According to Zoho, the new features in Zoho Reports enables users to perform tasks including securely upload spreadsheets and tabular data; push data from any application; drag and drop interface; reporting components; query with SQL; collaborative analysis; embed reports; and secure all data and reports.

The company said that the new offering enables users to fetch and upload data into Zoho Reports from Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL and MS Access databases. It also allows users to visually analyse and build insightful reports and dashboards using a drag and drop interface.

In addition, the new release enables users to develop reports together, enabling informed, collaborative business decisions and offers user name and password through HTTPS (SSL connection) network connectivity.

Rodrigo Vaca, director of marketing at Zoho, said: “Users can upload or synchronise data from spreadsheets, web or traditional applications; build reports and charts in minutes via the drag-and-drop interface; and then share their reports and dashboards with key performance indicators. Zoho Reports wraps a powerful BI and reporting engine in a very user-friendly interface.”
