Zenith Infotech, a developer of cloud, business-continuity and virtual help-desk solutions, has introduced a new lightweight backup and disaster recovery software application ‘MirrorCloud’ for the upper SMB market.
The new offering is the latest add-on to Zenith’s SmartStyle Computing line of cloud solutions.
According to Zenith, through a process of advanced data cloning, MirrorCloud takes zero-copy data snapshots of any physical and virtual Windows server or desktop, increasing Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs).
According to the company, MirrorCloud can quickly reproduce a virtual image of any failed server or desktop within minutes, circumventing downtime should disaster strike.
MirrorCloud’s advanced technologies safeguard data in a secure, private cloud environment.
Its key features include: continuous data mirroring; failover virtualisation; live bare metal restore; granular exchange recovery; and off-site transfer.
Zenith Infotech director of product management Ryan Morse said MirrorCloud’s Business Continuity features have catapulted SmartStyle Computing beyond the small business environment, facilitating an exceedingly reliable cloud-based infrastructure.
"It will compel the cloud computing trend forward, removing one of the cloud’s perceived barriers-to-market," Morse said.
