The storage system is built on the company’s patented Intelligent Storage Element technology and enables users to limit their storage costs through a five-year limited warranty.
In addition, it offers storage management based on web services as ICON Manager and Virtual View easily provision and manage storage in virtualised server environments.
In a Xiotech survey conducted on more than 400 storage administrators, 77% of the respondents said their storage budgets have either remained flat or reduced in the next 18 months.
Mike Hoch, vice president of marketing, Xiotech, said: We also saw from our survey that organisations greatly value flexible, adaptable storage system architecture, it’s one of the top three characteristics respondents said they look for when buying a new storage system.
