Whole Foods Market, a provider of natural and organic foods, has selected MicroStrategy’s Business Intelligence Platform to support a range of applications across its enterprise.
Whole Foods Market will use MicroStrategy to analyse sales and operational data across its 275 stores in North America and the UK. MicroStrategy is being utilised by BI users throughout the organisation for insights into product sales.
In addition, Whole Foods Market has enabled its suppliers and vendors to view sales data for their product lines through a MicroStrategy-based application.
Dave Zodikoff, IT senior coordinator of purchasing, private label and reporting at Whole Foods Market, said: MicroStrategy’s proven expertise in retail business intelligence was a key factor in selecting them as our BI provider. We evaluated several leading BI products and, using a total cost of ownership model, determined that MicroStrategy had the best combination of ease-of-use, time-to-market, successful retail implementations, and robust analytical capabilities.
Sanju Bansal, COO of MicroStrategy, said: MicroStrategy’s integrated platform delivers comprehensive reports and analyses that can serve as critical tools for companies committed to improving operational efficiencies and enhancing business performance. We are pleased that Whole Foods Market selected MicroStrategy to support its expanding BI applications.
