Storage company Western Digital has extended its storage services for Mac with the release of two new external hard drives following the launch last year of a 300GB VelociRaptor SATA hard drive for PC and Mac workstations.

It said My Passport for Mac portable drive and the My Book Mac Edition external hard drive work with Apple Time Machine and other Mac backup software. My Passport for Mac offers a shock-resistant enclosure and is available in capacities of 320GB and 500GB. The My Book Mac Edition drive is equipped with power-saving GreenPower technology, a USB 2.0 interface, and 1TB of capacity.

My Passport for Mac 320GB and 500GB drives cost $129.99 and $179.99 respectively. My Book Mac Edition 1TB hard drive costs $179.99.
