Vision Solutions, a provider of disaster recovery and data management products for IBM Power Systems, has released enhancements to EchoStream, its AIX real-time disaster recovery system. It is currently offering a free trial program of its software EchoStream.
The company said that it added new performance and automation enhancements into EchoStream 3.5. The enhancements include, Vision RightTime CDP for Any-Point-In-Time recovery; TimeView to improve productivity; AutoGuard for automatic notification and self-correction; and IntelliStart for installation and optimised configuration.
Reportedly, EchoStream 3.5 protects data through real-time replication. It provides data recovery in the event of software corruption, virus attack, deleted files or other causes of data loss. When combined with Vision’s EchoCluster for AIX cluster management system, businesses can benefit from automated failover to an alternate local or remote server.
