Violin Memory has extended its Flash Storage Platform (FSP) 7000 series with two new products, the FSP 7600 and 7250.

The FSP 7600 is claimed to provide low latency and high I/O density. It scales from 35TB to 140 TB of raw capacity in three rack units.

It will provide 1.1 million IOPS with less than 500-microsecond latency, reducing the latency by half, as compared to existing all flash arrays, enabling customers to consolidate mixed and multiple workloads in the lowest footprint possible.

The 7250 is regarded as a less than $100,000 entry-level point with always-on data reduction. It starts at 8TB of raw capacity.

The FSP series also includes the FSP 7300, which provides about 217 TB of capacity in three rack units, and the FSP 7700, a high-performance scale-up platform.

The series features enterprise services that include asynchronous replication, synchronous mirroring, stretch clustering with zero RPO and zero RTO, snapshots, clones, and other services.
