Storage provider hopes Unisys will help support ‘rapid growth’.

By Joe Curtis

Unisys has won a contract to provide IT services to storage provider X_IO in more than 100 countries.

The three-year agreement will see Unisys engineers carrying out installations and maintenance in APAC and EMEA before expanding to support X-IO’s US and Latin American bases as well.

X-IO hopes to concentrate on its growth strategy into these markets by leaving Unisys to provide a quick response service to new and existing customer requirement,s according top Unisys president Ron Frankenfield.

Ronald George, VP of Global Services at X-IO, added: "Unisys’s appointment provides an extra insurance policy for our customers.

"Picking a single service partner with so much expertise adds further depth to our support services and means we continue to respond quickly with the right solution or support any time a customer experiences a service event."
