Trend Micro has agreed to acquire UK-based online storage and data synchronisation firm humyo, as the internet content security firm eyes expansion in online backup and data access.
humyo provides an online storage centre that allows customers to benefit from automatic data synchronisation of files across computers and internet-connected devices. Using a web browser, consumers and small businesses can protect, access and share important files, anytime and anywhere.
Trend Micro said that the acquisition will allow it to expand its security promise to consumers and small businesses, by affording them with secure backup, recovery and constant access. In addition, current users of humyo products and services will have access to additional internet content security choices and development of new features.
