Designed for NAS-based Linux operating systems

By CBR Staff Writer

Trend Micro, a provider of Internet content security offerings, has launched NAS (Network Attached Storage) offering, which includes built-in antivirus designed to prevent the spread of viruses within workplaces and home offices.

Trend Micro NAS Security’s antivirus technology is built directly into the NAS itself and requires no extra installation.

Trend Micro NAS Security, which is designed for NAS-based Linux operating systems, enables to prevent malware infections. The product provides protection against computer viruses, Trojans, and worms.

The new NAS security features include antivirus and spyware protection, anti-malware policy compliance, and log report.

The company claims Trend Micro NAS Security scans when the infected files are uploaded to NAS. The Web-based management console provides centralised virus scanning, pattern updates, event reporting and antivirus configuration.
