Trend Micro enhances its OfficeScan, mobile security, data protection offerings

The new offerings supports Trend Micro OfficeScan 10.6, Mobile Security 7.1, and Endpoint Encryption 3.1

By CBR Staff Writer

Cloud security company Trend Micro has enhanced its OfficeScan, Mobile Security and Data Protection offerings, which includes the ability to integrate management of security, data protection, and mobile management.

With these enhancements, IT organisations can reduce the costs and complexity required to protect their users, data and computing assets, and businesses are provided with a consolidation path with the help of Trend Micro’s new software releases based on Trend Micro OfficeScan endpoint security framework.

The new enhanced offerings from Trend Micro supports Trend Micro OfficeScan 10.6; Trend Micro Mobile Security 7.1; and Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption 3.1.

The Trend Micro OfficeScan 10.6 contains an optional data loss prevention (DLP) plug-in which enables customers to deploy endpoint DLP in minutes rather, resulting in quick wins on corporate data security, the company claims.

Trend Micro Mobile Security 7.1. adds support for Apple iPad and iPhone, as well as Android and Blackberry devices, with an expanded set of mobile device management capabilities.

Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption 3.1 provides strong encryption for any device that may carry sensitive corporate data including laptops, USB drives and removable media.

In addition, Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption’s advanced pre-boot authentication provides security to encrypted devices.

Trend Micro Endpoint Businesss senior-director Ron Clarkson said Trend Micro have found itself in a situation where IT organisations must consolidate their security offerings, or risk errors and offering gaps due to this added complexity.

"The good news is, Trend Micro has anticipated this situation and provides a reliable way out of it," said Clarkson.
