Tableau unveils new version of visual data analytics engine

Drag-and-drop feature for massive data, and flexible architecture-data processing

Tableau Software, a provider of analytics, data visualisation and business intelligence (BI) software has launched Tableau 6.0, which includes a new data engine for visual analytics.

Tableau 6.0 enables enterprises and individual users to rapidly access and analyse all their data for business decisions, according to the company.

Tableau Software CEO Christian Chabot said Tableau 6.0 is enables people take charge of massive data of their job function or IT capacity with the ability to ‘direct connect’ to virtually any database.

The new features of Tableau 6.0 include data blending with one-click, quick analysis, in-memory without the limitations, and animated visualisations for showing how data literally moves over time.
