Syncfusion releases new version of Essential Studio Enterprise Edition

Includes user interface, reporting and business intelligence components

By CBR Staff Writer

Syncfusion, a provider of user interface, reporting and business intelligence components for the Microsoft .NET platform, has released a new version of product suite, Essential Studio Enterprise Edition, which includes support for Visual Studio 2010 and Microsoft .NET 4.0 for all Syncfusion products.

The Essential Studio 2010 Volume 1 includes many feature enhancements to the user interface, reporting, and business intelligence editions that comprise Essential Studio Enterprise Edition, the company said.

According to Syncfusion, the new enhanced user interface edition enables developers to provide Silverlight and WPF grid on the market; enables developers to create business dashboards; and support for formulas and exporting data to a Microsoft Excel format. In addition, the ASP.NET MVC grid, tools, and chart controls have been updated to support the release of ASP.NET MVC 2.0.

The Essential Studio business intelligence edition enables developers to access Oracle data sources to build business intelligence applications for end-users and offers enhanced filtering options that provide granular control and eliminate outliers. In addition, the new stacked bars and stacked columns enables end-users to view a subject’s overall or individual performance.

The company said that the new Essential Studio Reporting Edition enables developers to empower end-users to make custom changes to reports on their own. It also produces native Microsoft Excel, Adobe PDF, and Microsoft Word reports in Silverlight and offers support for protecting charts present in the worksheet.

Daniel Jebaraj, VP of Syncfusion, said: As part of Syncfusion’s commitment to the Microsoft .NET developer community, we keep our products ahead of the technology curve, so our customers can be sure that the innovative applications they develop with our user interface, reporting, and business intelligence components will be compatible with the newest Microsoft .NET technologies and provide reliable, easy-to-use solutions for their end-users.

“To that end, we have enhanced our reporting products for Silverlight so it’s even easier for developers to deliver the familiar Excel, PDF, and other formats that business users prefer.
