Sybase, a provider of enterprise and mobile software services, has launched version 15 of Sybase Replication Server, designed to move and synchronize data across the enterprise.

According to the company, Replication Server 15 enables pervasive data accessibility and real-time data delivery across heterogeneous database environments. Through the use of Replication Server’s data movement capabilities, customers achieve cost savings by avoiding platform migration.

By leveraging Replication Server’s ability to deliver operational data across complex and broadly distributed data infrastructures in real-time, organizations can also ensure proper steps are taken to comply with relevant regulations within their industries, even when external circumstances threaten ongoing operations and prompt recovery if disaster should strike, the company said.

Capital Market institutions decrease risk and lower cost by using Replication Server in their risk management system allowing for the instantaneous capture of trades and delivering trade data to the risk management system. Replication Server’s high level of performance enables Capital Markets customers to make risk management decisions using real-time trade data.

The company also said that the latest release of Replication Server capabilities include: performance improvements for data distribution and synchronization, real-time reporting and for supporting disaster recovery sites; expanded heterogeneous database replication capabilities for supporting oracle and other databases; and simplified configuration and management of heterogeneous environments

Raj Nathan, chief marketing officer of Sybase, said: Now more than ever, organizations require effective data distribution technologies that meet real-time needs in today’s environments and offer flexibility, simplicity and reliability. The heterogeneous support of Replication Server, along with its latest performance enhancements, demonstrates that Sybase continues to execute on its Unwired Enterprise strategy by delivering on the promise of open, best-of-breed systems that meet our customer’s ever-growing data distribution and management requirements.
