SAP has introduced new capabilities in two of its BusinessObjects governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) products. The company claimed that the new versions of its BusinessObjects risk management and process control applications help ensure that right controls are in place, helping customers to both comply with government regulations and manage business risks.

This will reportedly help customers take a preventative approach to risk and be better protected against future vulnerabilities caused by rapidly shifting conditions.

The company’s BusinessObjects GRC product is also embedded with its BusinessObjects business intelligence (BI) product, enabling organisations to develop business strategies.

SAP said that its BusinessObjects GRC products help companies to identify and resolve product quality issues. The new versions of its BusinessObjects risk management and process control also allow business users to embed risk management into existing business processes and divisions. This will allow risk managers and auditors to build controls and risk indicators that monitor the business environment, helping them to prevent problems and promote the performance of existing systems.

In addition, business users can create, customise and distribute a report from Crystal Reports software or a dashboard from Xcelsius software to highlight a potential problem. Leveraging technologies like Xcelsius to build heat maps offers companies an option to demonstrate trouble spots, such as supply chain disruptions and its potential financial impact.
