SAP has released the personal edition of its visual intelligence software which allows users to get insights from their data.

The new software assists users in tapping into spreadsheet data to collect and transform data to find out hidden insights and answers.

The software merges fast data manipulation with engaging visualisations and its point-and-click data manipulation enables rapid organising and consolidating data as per requirements and without any line of code or an additional modelling layer.

SAP Analytics senior vice president and general manager, John Schweitzer, said the software enables customers to go beyond the spreadsheet to harness their data, big and small.

"The personal edition of SAP Visual Intelligence is one of the fastest, most engaging ways to get answers from spreadsheets," Schweitzer said.

"Users simply point-and-click to manipulate and organize data just the way they want it.

"By pulling data from different sources into a single view, users can answer questions quickly and discover unique insights within their business without having to rely on IT."
