Flash drive maker SanDisk has unveiled the iNAND 7232 storage solution, designed specifically for mobile devices.

With capacity up to 128GB, the next generation storage solution will enable OEMs to add data-rich application experiences and next-generation digital photography capabilities in their devices.

It features second-generation SmartSLC technology and advanced application architecture, which is expected to provide breakthrough application experiences and boost the present mobile photography capabilities.

According to SanDisk, iNAND 7232 is the company’s fastest embedded flash storage device to date, and it has write speeds of up to 150MB/s, which is 25% more when compared to its predecessors.

The write speed can increase iNAND 7232 storage solution to impressive 1.2 GB per second and beyond if required by the application.

The multi-purpose storage solution is designed to provide fast, responsive mobile device experiences, which will facilitate users to capture 4K Ultra HD video in a faster way and RAW photography, capture under low-light conditions.

The device can also enhance the performance of multi-camera and depth-sensors like virtual reality and 3D.

SanDisk vice president Christopher Bergey said: "Our iNAND 7232 storage solution not only enables mobile OEMs to cost-effectively deliver the robust storage mobile users want, it is also our most advanced embedded storage solution to date.

"It leverages new, innovative application-level storage architecture and SanDisk’s latest 15 nanometer flash storage technology to enable outstanding application experiences, terrific 4K Ultra HD video capture and digital photography experiences never before possible in flagship smartphones."
