Flash storage maker SanDisk has introduced SanDisk Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-I memory card with a capacity of 512GB, which is claimed to be world’s highest capacity SD card.

The SDXC card has been developed for advanced gears including digital cameras, camcorders and mobile devices used for shooting 4K Ultra High Definition videos and high-speed burst mode photography, which usually requires more storage space.

The increased capacity of the card is expected to facilitate dynamic range of RAW image capturing and storage.

The data transfer speed of the card can go up to 95MB per second which would facilitate quick movement of data amongst the devices.

SanDisk is also providing a lifetime warranty for the card along with RescuePRO Deluxe data recovery software download offer, which can be used to retrieve deleted images.

SanDisk Extreme Team member Sebastian Devaud said: "I am always interested in new technologies to help improve how I work and the quality of my results."

"With higher capacities, I have greater flexibility to capitalize on the moment and let the camera roll without worrying about the performance of my equipment."

The company has simultaneously introduced 256GB and 128GB variants of the card.
