Salesforce revamped its enterprise social network called Chatter with Topics and Expertise features, which are claimed to help companies tap into the interest and connect with their customers, partners, employees and even products.

The new Chatter Topics and Expertise will allow users to discover insights, connect with experts and find related resources, all based on topics of interest, according to the SaaS company.

According to the company, Chatter Topics and Expertise will analyse and categorise structured and unstructured information within Salesforce, and enable the user to leverage both social graphs and interest graphs. In addition, employees will be able to identify and connect with experts in real-time.

Chatter Recommendations and Chatter Similar Files are available in Salesforce Chatter, Chatter Influence is available in Salesforce Chatter Plus, while the company plans to make the Chatter Topics generally available by the second half of 2013.
