Redstor to offer four new cloud storage services

By CBR Staff Writer

Redstor, a provider of cloud services and data protection offerings, has partnered with EMC Atmos, a provider of information infrastructure technology and offerings, to enable customers access the EMC Atmos cloud storage platform.

Under the partnership, Redstor will offer four new cloud storage services that will utilise the EMC Atmos platform, which will provide its customers the opportunity to reduce storage costs and migrate to a virtual data centre.

The company said that a policy based, intelligent file information tiering, long tail information retention and clone backup copies will be offered as part of the Redstor EMC Atmos offering.

Redstor is leveraging on the EMC Atmos cloud storage platform to provide secure cloud storage infrastructure services that will help customers manage and optimise external clouds as part of an overall cloud strategy.

In addition, the partnership will allow software vendor partners to interface with its data centres and deliver an easy virtual drive to manually migrate data to the cloud.

Redstor business development director Tony Ruane said the EMC Atmos will form a key part of their infrastructure and they see a huge demand from their customers and partners for cloud offerings that move data to lower-cost storage locations.
